David Jones, President, Florida Disabled Outdoors Association, will help you learn about the value of active leisure! Regular physical activity has been shown to diminish the risks and effects of many health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle including obesity, as well as the loss of lean muscle tissue and bone mass. This session will provide information on why, how and where to participate in a variety of active leisure options.

Be sure to watch the Orange County Clash Rugby showcase! These athletes use specially designed, fast-moving wheelchairs to block, pass, and carry the ball to the goal. As in able-bodied rugby, collisions-via wheelchairs-are an integral part of the game play. Don’t be fooled by the wheelchair, these guys are hard to beat!
